For my senior thesis I created several half page black and white illustrations for a chapter book that I wrote. The story centers around a young girl who finds out her father is alive and living in the mystical city of Utopia. She runs away from home to seek his aid after her mother falls ill but soon finds out that finding her father won't be as easy as she had first assumed.

In the summer of 2013 I was fortunate enough to go on the Maryland Institute College of Art's summer travel intensive to Sao Tome and Principe, a small island off the west coast of Africa.
